VIDEO: Louisville Holds 16th Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Louisville residents gather to give thanks and to give to those less fortunate.

The Louisville Thanksgiving Luncheon kicked off early Thursday morning with Volunteers preparing and packing Thanksgiving meals.

Mrs. Aline Haynes spearheads the Luncheon each year. The event is designed to feed more than 1,000 residents.

Residents were able to arrive at South Louisville Baptist Church to pick up the meal. Volunteers also delivered meals to those who couldn’t make it out.

“There are a lot of unfortunate people. We feel like we enjoy the day ourselves, but we want to make those who don’t have families feel special like we do,”said event organizer Aline Haynes.

This is the 16th year of the Louisville Luncheon.
