COLUMBUS, Miss.(WCBI)–Columbus Exchange Club members came together at Lion Hills Center for lunch Thursday. Commenting on the first murder of 2016 in the Friendly City…..Lowndes County District Attorney Scott Colom.

Violence destroys families and communities, criminals are to be held accountable and handled swiftly was the message from Colom.

Colom says investigators did a great during the briefing phase of the investigation.

“And they shared the information from that briefing with me, and its a good investigation. Columbus has done a good job with that investigation and I’m confident that we are going to get a conviction for the person that committed that murder,” said Scott Colom/Lowndes County DA.

Colom mentions having a plan for the Da’s office that includes smart priorities.
