Video: Lowndes County Red Cross Gets A New Home
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Lowndes County Office of the North Mississippi Chapter of American Red Cross has a new home.
The agency is now located in the Lowndes County Administration Building on Airline Road.
The Lowndes County Board of Supervisors helped make the move happen.
The executive director of American Red Cross of North Mississippi, Patty Tucker, says the new space will help them better help people in times of crisis.
“There was a need. We wanted to be able to put more money back in the community, so the Board of Supervisors worked with us, and allowed us to use this new location, so now we have more funds that we can put back in the community because we don’t have to worry about paying that rent.”
Trained volunteers work in the office to provide different types of service.
The Red Cross is opened Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
