Video: Market Street Festival Prep Underway

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)  – Columbus’ Market Street Festival is only two days away and hard work is underway preparing for the big weekend.
Market Street Festival offers more than 250 arts, crafts and food vendors for the two day festival in Downtown Columbus.

There will be food, shopping and live music kicking off Friday but right now, it’s all about preparation.

Countless of hours go into making the weekend a success and organizers are busy at work doing just that.

“It takes thousands of hours, hundreds of volunteers to really make this happen for the community. Everything from putting up signs, to ordering t-shirts, to placing vendors. These are just a few of like I said, the thousands of details that make this weekend great,” said Market Street Festival Coordinator, Amber Brislin.

Festivities will kick off Friday, May 1st at Riverwalk Park with a free concert in the Park.
