Video: A Missing Man Is Found Alive After a Week-Long Search

WEBSTER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A week-long search for a missing man in Webster County is over tonight.

26-year-old William Joshua Allred, known as “Josh”, was found in the woods this afternoon.

Webster County Investigator Landon Griffin says Allred was found off of Green Door Road.

Someone checking on a fire, discovered him lying on his stomach.

Allred’s older brother says William Joshua takes medication to treat bipolar disorder and had been without it since he was last seen on Sunday.

“My mother passed away in September of last year and he wanted to visit the grave-site by himself. Daddy asked him, you know, ‘could I stay with you,’ and he said, ‘no, I want to be by myself,’ so he dropped him off about 5 o’clock and he said, ‘leave me for a little while and come back,’ and they came back about 6:30 p.m. and he was gone and that’s the last time that anybody has seen him,” says Justin Allred.

Allred is being treated at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora.
