VIDEO: MSU iCREATE Campers Building A Brand

STARKVILLE, Miss.(WCBI)—High school students are learning what it takes to build a brand and a successful business. The students are participating in an entrepreneurship camp at Mississippi State’s E-Center.

The week-long camp uses fun, hands-on experiences, workshops, and projects to teach students what it takes to launch their own business, blog, brand, or website.

Students say the experience has given them an inside look at being their own boss.

“You get to try new experiences and especially at this age, you’re trying to figure out what you want to do with your life. So, it’s good to say oh hey, maybe I really like business, so I want to go venture into this or it’s not my thing. So I’ll try something else. It’s good opportunity,” iCREATE camper Jane Wang.

The students have been working on original products and marketing plans to sell them. They’ll have their products for sale at a pop-up shop this weekend.
