Video: Natchez Trace Sees Solid Increase in Traffic

NATCHEZ, Miss. (WCBI) — Despite a cold, wet winter, recreational visits on the Natchez Trace Parkway are up significantly this year.

The national park says from January through April, almost 1.9 million people visited the trace. That’s up almost 10 percent from the same period last year.

The biggest single increases came in January and March, while February and April were about the same last year.

The figures make the Trace one of the nation’s 10 most visited parks.
