COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — On Thursday, some students got a first hand look into a possible career in nursing.
Navigating Nursing at The W brought in around 60 high school juniors and seniors from different schools together.
The students had the chance to get hands-on experiences with various lab skills, talk with professors and network with students already in the nursing program.
“They get to practice CPR with a simulator man that crashes and stops breathing. So it gives them a chance to see what it would be like if they were a nurse and a nursing student here,” said Dr. Shelia Adams, the Dean of Nursing and Speech Pathology.
Students came to the W from high schools throughout Mississippi
