COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Every girl dreams of the perfect wedding but planning for that day can be stressful. That’s why hundreds of brides spent their Saturday at the WCBI and Columbus Main Street 21st annual Bridal Showcase to get ideas for their big day.

First comes the ring, then comes marriage.

Even though bride, Kelli Holloway, is four months away from saying “I do,” she is taking advantage of the one-stop shop Columbus Bridal Showcase to help with last minute plans.

“I’m here today to get ideas for my reception I saw a photo booth over there. I’m also here to get ideas for my reception food,” says Kelli Holloway.

From cake tasting to punch, Kelli and her maid of honor are finding ideas from dozens of vendors that can help any bride prepare for the perfect day.

“It’s really good especially where you just get engaged and you have nothing planned they have wedding cakes here. They have photo booth for reception they have caters, says Holloway.

Other brides like Erica Shannon are using the bridal showcase to get a head start on the planning.

“We actually have a while before our wedding. Our wedding is June 2015 but I wanted to make sure I prep myself way ahead of time,” says Erica Shannon.

Along with other wedding details, Erica hopes to find a photographer who can capture her magical day.

“I don’t want my photography to be so staged. I just want to be natural and just everyone beautiful pictures,” says Shannon.

One detail Erica still hasn’t decided on, is the dress.

“It’s such a great opportunity to get to talk to brides and to show them some of things that we have to explain to them how our procedures are and just give them an opportunity to see some thing that we do that they may not otherwise have,” says Nikki Thomas.

Vendors like Kay’s Kreations from Tupelo specialize in finding the perfect dress for bride, mother, and bridesmaids while first time vendor, Angie Summerlin, create the wedding atmosphere.

“We love to do weddings. We’re a full service so we do your…you don’t have to worry about anything. We are a one-stop so you just come and pick out everything. Your flowers, your cakes, your linens and we make it happen,” says Angie Summerlin.

Whether you’re searching for the perfect dress or cake, the Bridal showcase will help any bride find what she is looking for.

Several prizes were given out to brides from the different vendors.
