Video: Ole Miss Holds Run To Remember 9-11 Sacrifice

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI/University of Mississippi) – Hundreds of people joined ROTC cadets in Oxford this morning to commemorate those who lost their lives on 9-11.

Athletic Director Ross Bjork said this is the largest group he’s seen at the event.

He said the community needs to let the future military leaders know they’re appreciated.

“Fifteen years ago goes by fast but I think the memory and the legacy of the people who lost their lives, we have remember them,” Bjork said.

It’s the fourth-annual run at Ole Miss.

“The support that Oxford shows for military in general particularly ROTC branches is just incredible and it’s so appreciated,” ROTC member Sydney Marie Hart said.

The two-mile run began at the Lyceum and continued down University Avenue before going back to campus.
