VIDEO: One Person Flown To Hospital After Crash

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- A two car crash Monday evening ends with one person being flown by helicopter to a Tupelo Hospital.

The crash happened just before 6 p.m. on Cal Kolola Road, a half a mile from Highway 45.

Two cars cars were involved in the accident.

One landed in a field alongside the road.

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and fire departments shut down the road as crews worked to clear the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
