Video: Penske Trucks And Packages

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – It’s one of the busiest times of the year for package delivery services.

That’s why many places rent or buy extra delivery trucks.

The UPS store in Columbus on Highway 45, uses around seven UPS trucks and three Penske trucks.

It helps get the high volume of packages where they need to go and on time.

“We don’t have as many trucks in every area to just run brown. You also have pickups as well as drop-offs, so if you do see an unmarked car or an unfamiliar truck other than just brown, don’t be alarmed, it’s totally normal,” says store manager, Ayana Odeneal.

The extra trucks started rolling out the last week of November.

You can expect to see them through January because of the high amount of package returns.
