NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) – The primary elections are over and its time for many campaign signs to come down.

Columbus ordinance officers say properties with election signs have five days after the election to have them removed.

Consequences include a notice of violation and a hearing in municipal court; however, some signs will remain up for the runoff election on August 25 and the November general election.
