Video: Remains wash ashore in Lowndes County

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- Human remains were discovered Monday afternoon on the banks of the Tenn-Tom Waterway.

Lowndes County investigators were called out to Plymouth Road after human remains were found.

The sheriff’s department says it appears the bones are from an old grave site that has eroded near the river.

An archaeological team will be called in to examine the site.
