Video: Roasting For A Great Cause At Annual Event

TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – If you like crawfish, barbecue pork or chicken,  and you want to help some great charities,  then the Tupelo Hog Roast is the place for you this weekend.

The annual event kicked off Friday evening at the VFW on Mitchell Road in Tupelo. This evening, diners could get crawfish, barbecue chicken , along with beans and rice, cabbage and other fixins.

All proceeds benefit Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, the NMMC Hospice Patient Care Fund, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Ronald Mc Donald House

“It’s all for a good cause, raising money for kids and people who need the help. It’s good food and good times,” said Josh Logan, president of the Tupelo Hog Roasters.

Everything begins Saturday May 21 at 11 am, and runs through 11 in the evening. Plates are $10. In past years the event has raised more than $20,000. For more information call Josh Logan at 662 213 4606
