Video: Saltillo Man Faces Child Sex Charges

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) -A 71 year old Saltillo man is accused of offering money to minors, so he could expose himself to them. Paul Richard Wilkins is charged with two counts of enticement of a child for lustful purposes and one count of sexual battery.

Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson says deputies were called late last month about the incidents. Johnson says Wilkins is not related to the victims, but knew someone associated with the family. The sheriff says at least 19 more counts for each child could be filed.

“That is quite a number, that you are looking at, so this is not a situation of one small isolated incident, where there may be some defense that one thing got out of hand, or I didn’t mean to , you’re talking about numerous attacks on these victims by this particular individual.”

Wilkins’ bond was set at $200,000.00.
