COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-It was an eventful morning at Cook Elementary in Columbus as 5th graders got a chance to learn science hands on. The 3rd annual Science Fun Day shows students the fun side of science with more than 105 activities to learn from. The event took place in the gym and students were able to rotate through the different stations. Dr. John Hunt from Mississippi College was there to participate in the fun activities including baking soda, food coloring and even volcano’s erupting. Students from Heritage Elementary also got to take part in the event.
