TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – The Tupelo Airport Authority asked and now SeaPort Airlines agrees to withdraw its service from the airport.

The board asked the Portland, Oregon-based airliner to end service in 90 days but it’s unclear exactly when that will happen. Seaport will also end its service in Muscle Shoals.

Canceled flights and a pilot shortage has plagued SeaPort since it landed in Tupelo last October.

The U.S. Department of Transportation will now begin the process of asking for bids.

It’s still unclear if SeaPort will still provide service until a new carrier is found.
