VIDEO: Something Fishy on Highway 45

HIGHWAY 45 ALT, Miss. (WCBI News) – A truck spill creates a smelly situation for drivers on Highway 45 Alternate towards West Point.

A catfish truck spilled its load on the median next to the on-ramp to Highway 82.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation and state troopers pulled up to find catfish parts on the road and no truck in sight, but there was a bad smell.

The theory is that the top on the truck was not properly covered or the gate of the truck opened up on its own.

Traffic was slowed for about two and a half hours so crews could clean up the mess.
