STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Starkville city business will soon be conducted from a brand new building. The new city hall will be open for business Monday November 9th.

Municipal court employees and city administration workers will be moving into the new building. They’ve already started moving boxes and furniture into the new space.

The old building will be closed for business this Thursday and Friday as workers finish up the moving process. Open court will not be in session until November 16th in the new building.

It’s an exciting transition for Starkville Mayor Parker Wiseman.

“It’s good for morale and its good for efficiency and productivity. Everybody is gonna have workspace that is more fitted to the job that we’re asking them to do and work environment is a big part of not only morale, but also productivity.”

Wiseman says the new City Hall building offers a Modern look, which is what Starkville needed.
