Not only did they sample food, they tasted the wares, services, and products of those businesses. The tidbits offered by merchants was enough to hook participants who bought a whole plate of delicacies with proceeds benefiting Chickasaw Development Foundation.
The newly formed Houston Business Group, which helped organize the event, says it and future events are designed to bring strength through numbers to local businesses by bringing them together in promotions that benefit them all.
“The purpose of our function is to bring our businesses together. And let our communities see just how important these businesses are to our community, and their desire to serve our community,” said Executive Director of the Chickasaw Development Foundation.
The proceeds from a Taste of Houston helps in funding foundation events throughout the year 2014.
