SALTILLO, Miss. (WCBI)-Three Saltillo police officers will remain on suspension indefinitely. The Saltillo Board of Alderman spent more than an hour in executive session last night discussing the suspension of the three officers, Assistant Police Chief Prentiss Brown, Officer Mark Roberts, and part-time Officer Tyler Weathers. They were suspended last Wednesday. Mayor Bill Williams says the suspensions came because the officers supported Police Chief Steve Brooks in his unsuccessful bid to be Satlillo’s mayor and were intimidating those who were not loyal to his campaign. Mayor Williams said he perceived infighting between members of the police department as a safety risk.
