TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Tishomingo voters headed to the polls today to decide if beer, liquor and wine would be legally sold in the county.

This is the first time since 1966 that citizens have voted on alcohol.

It took Charles “Tubby” Aldridge three years to get over 2,500 signatures to get the vote.

He appeared before the Board of Supervisors on Monday with his petition of over 2,600 names.
