Video: Tupelo Hosts City-Wide Pep Rally

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Tupelo residents took time out Thursday evening to cheer on the Golden Wave football team.    A community wide pep rally took place at Fairpark in downtown.

Mayor Jason Shelton proclaimed every Friday as “Blue and Gold Fridays” and everyone is encouraged to wear blue and gold in support of the team.

Organizers say the pep rally is a great way to start the football season.
