TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — It was a chance this evening to help Tupelo High School’s showchoir and band raise money to go to a national competition. The Synergy showchoir gave a sneak peek of the performance singers, dancers and musicians will be doing later this month at the national competition in Chicago. Last month, the talented students took top honors at a contest in Branson Missouri, earning them the right to go to the Windy City. Since then, community support and encouragement has been especially strong.

“The community has just out-poured their support, financially, and with their kind words,” said Director, Danielle Frerer. “We just could not be more thankful for how the community has supported us.”

The trip to Chicago will cost around $17,000.  Synergy will perform next Friday at the competition.
