Video: Voter Registration Deadline Quickly Approaching

COLUMBUS, Miss.(WCBI)—The presidential Election is a month away and that means people preparing to head to the polls.

The Law states people planning on voting during this election must be registered a month before. The last day to register to vote is October 8th.

And with the deadline for voter registration quickly approaching Lowndes County Circuit Clerk Teresa Barksdale says you will need a few things to be able to register.

“You just need to know your address, need to know your social security number or your drivers licence which ever you feel comfortable giving us then you’ll have to of course give use your date of birth and that’s about it. It’s very simple,”Barkdale said.

On October 8th The Lowndes County Circuit Clerk’s office will be open from eight to twelve.
