WEST POINT, Miss.(WCBI)-It’s ‘swearing in’ day in many cities and towns across the region today. And in West Point that means an almost totally new local government. Mayor Robbie Robinson, Selectwoman Linda Hannah, and Selectmen William Binder, Jimmy Clark, Keith McBrayer, and Gary Dedeaux were all sworn into office this morning. McBrayer is the only returning member of the board. But Robinson says he’s not worried about the new faces.

” No perc projects other than our primary goal…in this town and this county will be to work to help Yokhama company with their construction. And providing jobs so we are going to be good partners and work diligently with them everyday. ”

Columbus, Tupelo, and others will all hold public swearing-in ceremonies today. inauguration
