WINSTON COUNTY, Miss.(WCBI)–One Winston County chicken farmer has totally scratched and clawed its way back after the April 28th Tornado knocked down two breeder houses destroying thousands of her birds.

Chicken houses at The Goodin Family Farm are filled with live clucking chickens. In August of last year just mounds of dirt could be seen at the Noxapater chicken business while it was under construction.

Now the two breeder houses are at normal capacity and farmer Brenda Goodin who is under contact with Tyson Foods is expected to see some tax revenue being generated as her county continues bouncing back from the storm.

A total of 22 thousand birds were destroyed by the storm. Chicken breeder houses are up and producing.
