Bitter Cold Start to the Week
SUNDAY NIGHT: As the cold front passes through, temperatures will begin to tumble. We’ll also switch winds out of the north and west 15-25 mph with gusts as high as 35-40 at times, which will help usher in some arctic air. Look for temps to fall into the mid to upper 30s.
MONDAY – TUESDAY: Both days looking like a taste of winter as high temps stay in the mid to upper 40s, nighttime lows fall into the mid to upper 20s. Both Monday morning and Tuesday morning, the wind chill will be in the teens and 20s. We’ll mark it as sunny, but a few clouds can’t be ruled out.
WEDNESDAY – FRIDAY: Aside from the chance for a few stray showers, we begin a warming trend as temps rise from the mid 50s Wednesday into the mid 60s by Friday. Lows at night will be in the 30s Wednesday Night and end up in the mid to upper 40s by Friday Night.
NEXT WEEKEND: There are some signals from models that a strong storm system will slide in our general direction. We’ll keep our eyes on it as there is still some variability in guidance.
