WCBI holds job fair in Starkville
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Hundreds of people looking for jobs were at the WCBI Job Fair Thursday morning.
Over two dozen employers, including Steel Dynamics, the Mississippi Highway Patrol, and Max South, just to name a few, were there looking for potential employees.
Many companies were doing onsite interviews.
Some folks even walked away with jobs. Eat With us made a few hires Thursday at the Starkville Sportsplex.
Employers and those looking for a career said the job fair is a great way to help those in our communities find work.
“Ambition. That’s what we want to see. I think a lot of employers are having a hard time finding people that really want to work, and that’s sad,” said Rhonda Richardson, of Wise Staffing.” ” It’s nice to see a line of people lined up coming through the doors eager to work.”
“It feels great. It feels really great to know that y’all are providing this for us making it easier so you don’t have to be searching so hard for a job. It’s right here in your face, so come and try it,” said attendee Cathy Cox.
If you missed out this one don’t worry. Another job fair will happen in August in Columbus.
