Weather Pattern Staying Active
FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy with lows in the mid to upper 30s. Some fog is possible with all of the lingering moisture around.
SATURDAY: Drier conditions appear more likely now but clouds are expected to filter back in as the day wears on. Northeasterly breezes continue between 5 and 10 mph. Highs top out in the 50s.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Clouds fill in and showers develop around the region. Look for lows in the low 40s.
SUNDAY: Highs should be in the 50s with extensive cloud cover and areas of rain around. Some thunder showers may occur as well. The chance of rain is 50%.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Showers and thunder showers remain possible. Lows in the 50s may occur early with rising temperatures into the 60s late in the night as warm and humid air surges northward from the Gulf.
MONDAY: 2018 will wrap up on a warm and potentially stormy note. We’re going bump up forecast highs to around 70 with the trade off being a 90% chance of showers and storms. Strong to severe storms and heavy rain appear possible somewhere in the region with the setup so be sure to stay tuned for updates as we go through the weekend.
NEW YEAR’S DAY: A cooler, drier air mass settles in briefly. It should be a decent day with highs in the 50s and variably cloudy skies.
WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY: The potential exists for a cold rain and perhaps even some wet snow at some point. There are still lots of variables that can change but it’s certainly all on the table at this point. Highs in the 30s and/or 40s appear likely.
