Welton Named to Post at Baptist Golden Triangle
COLUMBUS, Miss. — Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle has recently named Brian Welton as an assistant administrator on the hospital’s leadership team.
Welton is a Frank S. Groner Fellow at Baptist Memorial Health Care, where he has spent the last year contributing to the organization in a variety of areas. Welton received a Master of Science degree in health administration from the University of Alabama, Birmingham in May 2013. He also received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Alabama, Birmingham in May 2012. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2010.

Welton has previous experience working with ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.; Cooper Green Mercy Hospital in Birmingham, Ala.; and Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham.
With 315 beds, Baptist Golden Triangle is the largest regional hospital affiliated with the Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care system. With physicians and surgeons representing almost every medical specialty practicing at the hospital and more than 1,000 health care employees, Baptist Golden Triangle offers a wide range of comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages.
In addition to the Baptist Cancer Center-Golden Triangle, the hospital offers a variety of services to the community, including Baptist Behavioral Health Care for those with behavioral and mental health problems; an emergency room with 24-hour ambulance service; and an extensive rehabilitation department, including cardiac rehab and educational programs.
