MABEN, Miss. (WCBI) – The lights are coming down one last time at West Oktibbeha High School’s Football field.

But Maben’s loss will be Winona’s gain. The Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District is selling the filed lights and Bleachers to the Winona School District.

The fixtures will become part of Winona High School’s new Softball Complex.

Staff from West Oktibbeha and a public works crew from Winona started working on the move today.

“We’ve reached out to the Starkville School District and they were generous enough to sell us this stuff, so we’re able to provide this for our girls and our community,” said Trey Rolison, Winona’s Assistant Principal.

Winona’s softball field should be ready for the 2016 Spring Softball Season.
