Video – West Point Board Addresses Parking Issue

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – The Board of Selectman in West Point held their regular meeting tonight and some concerned citizens spoke out about parking on Main Street. Business owner Jennifer Harper is asking the city to create an ordinance to enforce parking rules. Annie Caldwell of Caldwell Fashions says there has been no complaints from her customers about parking at all. The Board agreed to work towards a fair resolution. Stephanie Collier proposed that the city of West Point join Columbus and Starkville by becoming a smoke-free zone with the help of a federal grant. Bids were also approved for the Yokohama Water and Sewer project.
