West Point holds child abuse prevention parade

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – Dozens participate in a parade in downtown West Point to raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention.

The month April is recognized nationally as Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Several kids and adults marched downtown. Some with signs that read things like, “no excuse for child abuse.”

Some special guests including Cinderella, Wonder Woman and Cookie Monster were also there.

The parade was sponsored in part by the Sally Kate Winters Family Services.
