West Point to boast 300 job announcement Monday

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – A three hundred job announcement will be held Monday in West Point.

The unnamed company is expected to occupy the former Americold building.

Economic developers dubbed the prospect, Project Polar.

West Point city leaders approved incentives last October to help lure the company.

The food processing company is expected to provide jobs that will average $17 per hour.

Again, a formal announcement will be made Monday morning.
