A Wet End to the Week, But Drier Air Is In The Forecast

TODAY: Once again, we will see temperatures in the low 90s with the chance for afternoon showers and storms. In the peak of the afternoon, we will likely see heat indices climbing near 100 degrees once you combine the heat and humidity. This evening won’t be a washout, but a few areas could see some locally heavy rains and gusty winds for short periods of time.

TONIGHT: The showers and storms will begin to dissipate by mid evening, and we will be left with mostly cloudy skies and very muggy conditions. Temperatures will be in the mid 70s overnight.

FRIDAY – SUNDAY:  We will remain in this muggy pattern which will allow showers and storms to develop every afternoon with the afternoon sunshine. Daily rain and storms chances continue between 30% and 50%, with the best chance for widespread rain being Saturday. Afternoon highs will be in the low 90s with overnight lows in the mid 70s.

NEXT WEEK:  We move into a slightly drier pattern as high pressure takes over the region. While we won’t see as high of rain chances, our temperatures will warm up even more with the extra sunshine.
