Widespread Rain Today.

TODAY: Widespread rain through mid afternoon, then light showers tapering in the evening. An isolated strong storm generally south and east of West Point can’t be ruled out at some point this morning. Highs in the 60s, with overnight lows in the 40s.

FRIDAY:  The sky will become mostly sunny. Look for highs in the mid to upper 60s.  Low temperatures Friday night may briefly dip into the upper 30s.

SATURDAY: A mostly sunny and pleasant day is on tap and that bodes well for any Easter egg hunt you may have scheduled. Highs should be in the lower 70s.

EASTER SUNDAY:  A cold front is now expected to sag into north Mississippi during the day.  This will lead to additional cloud cover and the chance of scattered showers.  We don’t envision an all day washout or anything like that.  Plan on highs in the 60s and low 70s.

NEXT WEEK: Some uncertainty remains in the forecast as we head into next week, but scattered showers look to be possible Monday through Wednesday, and highs in the 70s Monday and Tuesday with mid 60s Wednesday.
