WINONA, Miss. – (WCBI) For nearly a quarter of a century, Winona residents have recognized the man whose actions earned him a Nobel Peace Prize.

Marchers took to the streets in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

From the J.J Knox Gym to the historic Montgomery County Courthouse, residents spent their afternoon honoring the Civil Rights activist. Participants then met at the Winona Community Center for food and fellowship.

The Citizens in Alliance sponsored Monday’s parade.
