TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Contemporary Christian singer and songwriter Kari Jobe was one of eleven acts for “Winter Jam 2018” Thursday night.

“Winter Jam” made its annual stop in Tupelo. The Christian music event brings a diverse mix of artists, along with a comedian and speaker to each city.

More than 7 thousand people from across Northeast Mississippi , Alabama and Tennessee attended the event at the Bancorpsouth Arena.

“I like coming to Winter Jam because it gives you a different look, variety of artists and they bring good message, a good message for the young people, that they don’t always hear, that’s straight to them, catered to them,” says WJSBC Youth Pastor, Baden Honeycutt.

“We’ve been partnering with Winter Jam for about the last four years to promote our annual Go Tell student camps, this will be our 30th year doing Go Tell camps and here tonight in Tupelo we have met many people that got their lives right with God many years ago because they came to a Go Tell youth camp,” says Rick Cage of Go Tell Ministries.

Winter Jam is the largest Christian music tour in the United States. The tour will play more than 40 cities with more than half a million people in attendance.
