Woman Accused Of Bilking Belk Of Cash

OXFORD 9WCBI) – An Oxford woman is charged with false pretense for taking advantage of an Oxford department store.

Oxford Police say 38 year old Charletha Joiner wrote a series of bad checks to Belk Department store during December.   Joiner then turned around and returned those goods to the store and received a cash refund.  Police say Joiner netted over $800 in the scheme.
