Woman crashes into construction equipment, pronounced dead at scene

OKOLONA, Miss. (WCBI) – An Okolona woman is dead after crashing into some construction equipment in Lee County.

The crash happened near Shannon on Highway 245 around 7 am, Monday.

Deputy Coroner Tim Tate pronounced Hattie Brown, 64, dead upon arrival.

Brown allegedly struck a crane in a construction zone after driving through a road-closed sign.

Reports show she was wearing a seat-belt during the crash.
