Wreck Victim Identities Pending

PONTOTOC COUNTY (WCBI) -The Pontotoc County coroner and sheriff are waiting on DNA confirmation before releasing the names of two people killed in a Thursday night crash.

Sheriff Leo Mask says the 6:30 wreck happened at the intersection of the two lane highway 6 and Faulkner Road near Trace State Park. A lone driver in a Ford crossover type SUV was heading east when they tried to turn onto Faulkner Road. A west bound Chrysler 300 collided with the Ford and caught fire. Both drivers have been taken to Pearl for positive identification.
