COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI-TV) – If you smoke, one group wants to help you kick the nasty habit.

National Kick Butts Day is a campaign aimed at helping people quit smoking.

The Mississippi Tobacco Free Coalition is educating young people about the dangers of smoking.

A motivational speaker and informational booths were set up at the Boys and Girls Club in Columbus.

The Coalition hosted a cigarette butt clean-up around the center.

The person who picked up the most cigarette butts won a prize.

This program targets kids in the 9th through 12th grade.

Community Counseling Prevention Services also helped organize today’s event.
