Authorities Thursday said there appeared to be no foul play involved in the death.  Merchant says he made the decision to send the body for an autopsy because of the decomposition of the body and the circumstances surrounding his death.   He says that autopsy determined Davis had sustained a gunshot wound leading to the decision to classify the death as a murder.
Anyone with any information in regards to this investigation is asked to call the Columbus Police Department or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
