ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – The annual Bukka White Festival kicks off this weekend, October 18 and 19.
The festival honors the famous, local artist Bukka White.
The events start Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. when the Ribs on the River Cook-off starts.
Music begins Friday night at 6:30 p.m.
On Saturday, the festivities start up at 10 when the rib cook-off continues.
There’s a pet costume parade at 11 a.m. with prizes for owners and proceeds from registration will go to the animal shelter.
Music on Friday starts after lunch at 1:15 p.m.
