Video: Columbus Police Deliver Thanksgiving Meals

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The long arm of the law became the long arm of the ladle today in Columbus.

Columbus officers and other volunteers spent Thanksgiving morning with another mission.

To make sure some Columbus residents who could not venture out on Thanksgiving didn’t do without a good Thanksgiving meal.

Organizers say the outreach is used to show there is more to wearing the badge than just enforcing the law.

Thursday’s meal was covered by donations given to the department to provide the annual meal.
