STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The goal of the “Fresh Start” program at Emerson Family School in Starkville is ensure their students and their parents are doing what’s best for their body.

The program focuses on teaching pre-schoolers and their parents healthy habits.

Chef Ty Thames gave tips on gardening, nutrition, and fun games for the children.

A local company donated three fruit trees that were planted on school grounds.

The 3 and 4 year old also put on a short skit inspired by the fall season.
