STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – High School students hoping to pursue a career in the medical field shadowed health care professionals at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville Wednesday (6-12). Teens got a first hand look at everything from nursing to cardiac rehab. It was a great way for them to see the challenges and rewards of a career in healthcare.

Home school senior Hannah Loper says, ” I think it’s good to see what the actual employees actually do, before you decide to get all the way through college, and this is not what I was prepared for. This is not what I want to do. So, it gives you experience and let’s you know what you think you are getting into.”

Wednesday’s job shadow lasted from 8:30 in the morning until 3:30 in the afternoon.
