Local Musicians Raise Money to Help Sick Friend
By Britney Blanchard
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Local musicians are coming together to raise money for a great cause.
People from all across North Mississippi traveled to Rick’s Café Sunday to support a benefit for Vince Harris.
Harris suffers from a rare condition, and needs a life-saving surgery.
Two guitars are being auctioned off in hopes of raising money to help him get the medical treatment he needs.
Local bands performed during Sunday’s benefit, and are happy to help this local musician out.
“He has AVM, which is a rare disease, and he needs some help getting surgery, necessary medical treatment for his condition,” said Jimmy Redd, The Backwoods Troubadours. “He was a local musician, so I’m happy to give back to the community.”
If you’d like to help, stop by any Renasant Bank and ask to make a donation to the Vince Harris medical fund account.
